To think you should check your eBay items before you send them out?

I bought a pair of boots from eBay. When I got them I was unlacing them to clean them and stuck my hand inside one of the boots (yes, I totally take the blame for my actions).

'Oh no' I said to DH, 'please don't make this a smelly sock!' It wasn't a smelly sock, in fact, it wasn't a sock at all.

IT WAS A PAIR OF WORN KNICKERS!!!

I know they were worn by the pantyliner attached to them...

AIBU to think that folk should check their items before sending them out to their unsuspecting buyer?

That’s awful.
I once bought a jacket from eBay, and in the pocket was a pair of men’s fetish cycling shorts with a flap at the front. The flap had poppers which undid to reveal a mesh section to showcase your wares. There was a generous helping of dried jizz all over the mesh.

It’s rotten. I have been using vinted, ordered a coat for my DD. It was filthy when it arrived and had pistachio shells, used tissues and all kinds of stuff in the pocket. It also smelled vile, the cuff and collar were worn away. I bought it for playing and it’s not even fit for that 🤢
At least with eBay you can raise an issue for a good period of time. Vinted is 2 days and you pay for that privilege. They wouldn’t do anything about it.

Maybe they thought you had bought the shoes due to a kink.

Yes this is a definite "thing" for some 🤣

You're right op, that's pretty ridiculous.

I sell and even if I've got lots of items to send at one time, I try to have a good look over the item before packaging it.

They kinda deserve to be left accurate feedback.

Now I'm worrying I've left something in an item.

Look on the bright side, free knickers EnvyGrin

salamirose · 07/12/2023 19:23

I would leave a positive review thanking them for the free used pants

If you leave negative they'll just get it removed

That's grim
I have sold on eBay on and off. I often freshen up clothing after I have listed it and twice I have refunded buyers because when I have gone to pack items for posting, I have discovered that there has been a die transfer in the wash (once from pink sequins onto the yellow cotton on a Gap t-shirt, and the other on a pair of lined Mini Boden trousers).
I often donate used clothes to charity shops and I would never donate something in a condition that I wouldn't be prepared to buy (anything bobbled goes in the rag bag). I took a bag of donations to a Salvation Army shop a few years ago and the member of staff was apologetic at having to check what I had brought in; apparently they had received donations of unwashed skid-marked undies because "some homeless person might be needing pants".

Jesus, or should I say jizzus...

But seriously, that's bloody awful 🤮
