To think child maintenance favours absent mothers?

Absent mothers owes over 8k in child maintenance arrears.
Changes jobs every time a new payment plan is put in place, changes address almost as often.
Her yearly wages is upwards of 32k
I'm on the phone every month to CM, takes hours to get through.
Last payment was made over 10 months ago.
New payment schedule just arrived and her payments are to resume in February.
No repayment of maintenance already owed has been factored into the payments.
Am I wrong in thinking that if the paying parent was a man, they would do more to enforce the payment of CM owed?

From what I understand chasing CM is a nightmare regardless of the sex of the parent. You’ll find lots of posts on here by women in the same position about their DC’s father.

Actually they probably wouldn't.
My dad never paid anything to my mum for me and my brother.
I'm 36 now and a few years ago my mum received a letter saying everything was settled as they couldn't find him. But they found my mum even though she has remarried and moved address several times since.
My dad works and is "findable" but they just didn't bother trying.

The whole system is ridiculous for whoever is trying to claim tbh!

It does not favour the child or RP.

I was about to say exactly this. Millions owed mostly to women by men and nothing is done.

And actually, if it really were the case that lots of men were being screwed over it would change pretty quick because that gets noticed and acted upon whereas women are generally expected to just suck up an unequal and unfair system ad infinitum.

Absent parents who don't support their children are twats. But unfortunately yours is the exception as they are overwhelming male.

I could write almost your exact post about my absent male ex. Haven't had a penny from him in over 10 years. Not sure what you think they do differently for absent dads versus mums. They're just not fit for purpose and both our exes are scum of the earth for not paying for their kids
