My oil light came on. I put the 1L oil we had knocking about the house into it.
Oil light stayed on. I thought maybe it needed more. So I went to the shop, put a bigger bottle in.
Did not realise that putting too much in was a VERY bad idea.
Car was in the garage all day yesterday where they drained it, cleaned bits and refilled.
Oil light is still on and they've said its safe to drive (probably a sensor issue) but to be careful because there's oil in the breather system.
Does anyone know how long I need to worry about this!?
They haven't answered the phone since my OH picked the car up yesterday.
I am very aware that I screwed up.
