Evri have lost 5 of my parcels in last few weeks

I asked about this on here before but everyone else found them great. I've had 5 parcels lost in the last few weeks. What happens is it says it's out for delivery then says it can't be delivered but will be on next working day but it never is. I'm owed a lot in refunds. I'm so frustrated. Am scared to order anything online now. Am I the only person having trouble. The last one I got sent to a locker instead of home but got a message last week saying they could not access the locker? Nothing since then.

I think it depends on the idea/driver. My Evri delivery person is great, but I’m sorry your parcels are lost, it’s annoying when you’re looking forward to them. And 5 is a lot.

I had 3 in one week in September. All school shoes/trainers and bags so left me in a real pickle with them starting school :(

Jacopo · 02/12/2023 20:29

Seems to depend on the locality. They’ve been totally great here, both delivering and collecting.

I had one parcel what appears to have been stolen - they put a fake photo up - and then uniqlo took literally a month to pay me back. I had to chase it up so many times. It has stopped me buying so much online.

To be fair our Evri man is very good. For some reason though, he has started the take a photo of my parcel when it's still in his van. I'm not sure how that works to prove that it has been delivered.

OP, I had similar problems in the past. It was so horrendous that I now ask if vendors use Evri and if they do, I don’t buy from them. I also use Argos a lot more. Evri has truly put me off ordering online.

I’m in Hertfordshire btw.

My normal local EVRI driver is fabulous. But if he is off and a temp is employed all hell breaks loose. Last year I ordered a big beauty order from Sephora. All good until day of delivery - due to be delivered, time range given, then message we will deliver later. I chased all week. But the big issue I had was that the retailer wouldn't take the late/odd messaging seriously for many days. It had been stolen that day; EVRI knew who was hired that day; the retailer refunds me £200+. Who pays for this? Consumers. It's put me off. Was the driver sacked? Investigated? Seriously fuck knows.

They are awful around here. I had two parcels lost by them a couple of years ago and I am now very wary indeed and reluctant to buy from vendors who use them.

I regularly see posts on the local Facebook pages about missing and misdelivered parcels and the courier is invariably Evri.

chillinwithmygnomies · 02/12/2023 21:44

Mine are being left on the doorstep if I am out, not ideal as live on a busy terraced street with no front garden so may as well just leave them on the road 🤦🏼‍♀️ I've had 2 go missing in the last 2 weeks. Todays was left on the doorstep and has been ripped open, kids I expect, but no use to me an empty envelope!

dnasurprise · 02/12/2023 21:47

I also have terrible problems with Evri. All the other couriers in my area are fine but Evri parcels never get through. I also try to check who sellers use for delivery and avoid if they say Evri.

CreeperBoom · 02/12/2023 22:01

It's royal mail which is currently 50/50 whether they will lose it or not for me. Evri have been pretty reliable. Yodel are the worst - they deliver from a depot 60 miles away (driving through a much closer city, to get here) then can't find my address.

HouseIsOnFire · 02/12/2023 23:37

I had a complete faff and couldn't get through so tried leaving a trust pilot review.

Made me laugh because the obviously had a bot doing customer retention that day - every review had a "sorry you had issues, please reach out for resolution" reply... even the 5* ones!!!

Evri obviously assume all reviews will be rubbish!

FreshWinterMorning · 02/12/2023 23:40

I'm so sorry @Ceci03 Sad It's for this reason that I actively avoid using any seller that uses Evri. I actually go for sellers who use Royal Mail as they have never failed to deliver, and the packages always come in 2-4 days. If a seller says 'other courier' I know it is probably Evri so I won't buy off them.

Not much help I'm sorry. Hope you get your packages.

Whowahway123 · 02/12/2023 23:41

I’ve had 3 missing this week and 2 the week before. Fair enough I live pretty rural so kind of “excused” the first 2 although totally findable on Sat nav. The next three were being delivered to my local post office and they couldn’t even make it there!! Bloody disgrace. Has really put me off retailers who use them

LittleRedDots · 02/12/2023 23:43

Yep. Depends on driver. Used to avoid anything evri until I moved house. New evri driver is an amazing lady who always delivers on time, never chucks over the wall or leaves on the flat roof (as did my previous evri driver!).
