To ask if it’s a UTI with just Leukocytes?

Did a home urine test (Geratherm). The field for leukocytes turned a deep purple, indicating a high level present. But other fields all seemed clear blood , protein and nitrates. I took the test because of frequency and like a pressure pain in my stomach. I’ve never had a UTI. Is it possible to have one with just leukocytes present and none of the others? I’m in work at 6am tomorrow, and I don’t want it to worsen! Is it something you’d miss work for , or can they wait to be seen after? Again I’ve no experience with UTI’s so sorry if I sound clueless! I was quite surprised when it was dark purple as I took one ages ago and it stayed the white/pink colour. (No leukocytes) So I know the tests do work!

Not necessarily. It can just be contamination if it’s not a clean capture. However, if you are feeling symptoms then it could develop into a uti.

If you have symptoms you most likely have a uti. The dipsticks are not very accurate and the NHS website has been updated to reflect this. Medical professionals are meant to be diagnosing based on symptoms rather than test results. I have had utis with just leukocytes.

My dip test is showing clean but I'm on 7 days of antibiotics for symptoms
Basically incredibly uncomfortable, feeling of pressure all the time
Hot water bottles help, if you have two then one between your legs and one on your stomach
