To mute your bloody mike when on a Teams meeting

Trying to listen to a school Teams presentation with about 200 students/parents. Can't hear a word as there are numerous people unmixed- it's obviously many different people.

The hosts have asked 7 times already and are visibly getting a bit pissed off.

I think there’s an option for the host to mute everyone’s mikes. Can you suggest it?

Edited to add that might be Zoom but worth a try.

It needs better facilitation. Teams gives meeting organisers the ability to mute participants. Just have someone available to do this if the host is unable to. Basic event/meeting planning!

Anyone on the call can mute other people. I've done when it's pissed me off that someone can't seem to mute themselves 😄

The host can turn everyone's mic off and select who is a speaker. There's a presentation and a webinar mode.

The host should be doing better at hosting. Stop the meeting until all mics are muted. Then call them out. Ask them to leave if they can't. It's so rude

Just mute them yourself if you're hosts aren't. I do this to my ignorant manager all the time. Twat.
