To ask anyone who got pregnant at 42 if there's anything they'd recommend?

I know it's a wing and a prayer to a large extent but is there anything in a particular (lifestyle, supplements, meditation) you credit with success?

Progesterone suppositories- common in other countries, need to go private for them here.

I got pregnant at 41 and had my son at 42. He'll be 16 next week! Much easier birth than my daughter 3 years earlier and he was a big baby although pregnancy was less enjoyable as he was so big. I don't think I did anything in particular-I did have acupuncture trying to conceive.

Listen to your body...I could tell when I was ovulating and got pregnant right away

Agree with the progesterone suppositories.
I had them on my pregnancy at 42, my two further pregnancies ended in miscarriage when I wasn’t using them. I regret not asking for them as I wonder everyday if it would have made a difference.

Read “It Starts with the Egg”.

Check thyroid levels. Try to stay fit, eat healthy, vitamins, f9lic acid. And keep trying with the attitude that if it works, it works. It's hard enough at 42, worrying about menopause to be putting pressure on ourselves to conceive. Good luck.

Not 42 but older than 35. Having polyp
removed from uterus entrance did the trick I think(so good to check if you have any growths as they are common after 30). Fasting in line with female cycle can also help reduce growths
Also: reducing caffeine, stopping alcohol past day 14(so you can drink half the month you are trying but for max fertility you shouldn't drink much), using ovulation test and making effort on those days. I also took vitamins with my partner. Took two months from polyp removal, one month of actual ‘effort’!
