Hi All,

Looking for some garden renovation ideas. Slope drives me mad and makes it harder. Want to have as much green space as possible for kids and an area for barbecue…

Pergola top right of your pic? Then climbers up it. Just in from wall so you can stash your bins. Then pots on the left side of the patio around a seating area/table or put another pergola to demarcate and add some vertical planting.

Grasses to left of the steps? Or block planting of some ilex or something small and evergreen.

and get rid of the astroturf. You could have nice borders on that lawn?
What direction do you face?

It needs a lot more plants for colour/ textural interest and height. Trees please!
And more interesting shapes- everything is very square at the moment. Circular lawn with flowerbeds in the corners?
And how about a pond?
