I have been married for over 18 years and we have 3 teenage DC.
I have worked throughout the marriage although I have taken a year off after each dc was born. My salary has not increased hugely in that time, whereas STBXH salary has due to a few promotions. Despite this, I have always paid 50% of all household expenditures.
My ex has always been incredibly tight with money. I have very little money over at the end of each month but he had refused to consider me paying a lower percentage. This is despite the fact that I know he has considerably more money than me.
We are now about to start divorce proceedings and all of a sudden his attitude has changed. We own our house outright but he has said that he is happy to sign his share over to me as long as we complete the divorce as quickly as possible. This is so unlike him I have started to suspect there is something underhand going on.
Aibu to think he might have money that he is hiding from me or am I being paranoid?
