To complain to the nursery?

My 3yo dd didn’t wear a jacket walking to nursery this morning. Not the end of the world in my opinion as forcing one on would have caused more palava than it was worth and it’s only a short walk from our house, which she ran most of so wasn’t cold. Arrived at nursery and had 2 workers comment on her lack of jacket.

At the end of the day I brought her jacket with me as it was a bit colder than the morning, and when I went inside she came running out happy to see me.

As we went to leave, one of the workers came and pretty much grabbed for lack of a better word my daughter. Got down to face level with her while holding her hands on both of her arms and gave her a very stern talking to about wearing a jacket and pointed at her, touching her tummy and saying you don’t dare come to nursery without a jacket on tomorrow. This resulted in a very upset kid and I was honestly so taken aback that I didn’t say anything and ushered her out the door.

I am a primary teacher and if I done this to a pupil and their parent found out I’d expect a complaint to be made against me and it’s something I would never, ever do.

Previously my daughter has made several comments about not liking this particular worker and I’ve always said it’s not okay to say that and now I’m wondering if this lady has been doing this to her regularly.

I have sat all night stewing over this and wondering wether to bring it up to the nursery manager in the morning. I don’t want any friction as she has another 2 years here, but I’m also really not happy with how she held on to my child in front of me. Surely if anyone is to get into trouble for a 3yo not wearing a jacket it’s me? I’m the one in charge of her, she doesn’t decide what she wears in the morning, I do.

So please, AIBU to bring this up in the morning? Or should I hold my breath to avoid conflict.

Nursery worker was over the top, I'd mention it too. It's none of her business what she wears en route there. No child ever died from not wearing a jacket in a bit of cold and rain.
