To be hurt at them not contacting me after a date even though I don't want to see them again eitherthem again

Currently doing online dating , had 2 dates with 2 different guys. Neither of whom I want to meet again. They didn't contact me after the date and I also didn't contact them. So basically neither of us was interested in seeing each other.
So why is this still bothering me? I still see it as rejection but I'm rejecting them too so why does it still sting a bit?

It bothers you because your ego has been hurt. You wanted them to like you regardless of you liking them. It’s the human condition 😂

Try to think about it in this way: if they wanted to meet up again and you had to reject them, since you don't, this would at best be a bit awkward. Be glad not to have the necessity. Everyone is on the same page.

It’s because you feel they rejected you. It’s far nicer to be the rejecter and not the rejectee.

It’s fairly clear, you’re hurt because you’ve realised they weren’t interested, your ego wanted them to Be, particularly as you didn’t want them.
