I worked in a team of 14, all do the same job (likely all paid similar amounts) and there was around 4 that were incredibly selfish.
We worked from the same pot of work and they would put work back into it that they didn’t want to do, worked there years and made constant mistakes which had to be re-done by others, would avoid certain queues of work. Management knew and did nothing.
It got so bad that everyone left apart from the four. So now there’s no one left for them to hide behind or pick up the work.
I still work for the same company and overheard one of them complaining about how bad it is and I didn’t feel bad at all.
