AIBU to think I never got the job?

I had an interview with M&S on Saturday and I felt like I wasn’t asked enough questions, I was however given a tour of the building and shown and asked to perform certain tasks that the job would entail. I made a couple of small mistakes but this being a interview I think I did rather well.

The lady who interviewed me never really asked much but I made up some small talk and she asked me about my current job and I went into detail. Towards the end of the interview she spoke to me about uniform and what I would need to wear.

The lady then walked me out and asked if I’m flexible and if I could work on Christmas Eve to which I replied yes and gave examples of how flexible I am to which she then said “oh so it sounds you’re very flexible then.” And then said well I have some other people to interview, I will give you a call in about a week”. The red flag for me is that she never asked when I can start.

Today is Tuesday and I really am starting to think I haven’t got the job as I haven’t had any phone calls. Do you think from the info above it’s likely I haven’t got the job?

But she said she'd call you in a week? I think you should give it a few more days at least, it sounds like it went fine!

There’s just no way of knowing! Unfortunately we won’t have any insight that you don’t yourself. Don’t give up until you have the call either way.

It's much too early to worry! Sounds like she's still interviewing. Then will need to run everything past their HR dept and so on probably. Hope you get it!
