Do you think the towie cast are attractive?

Just Sunday evening thought really. Watching some trash tv. I’ve not watched towie in years. So many people especially in the younger generation seem to aspire for the look that is seen on programmes such as towie. You get the general image..

Yet I see a lot of “cosmetic work” bashing on the likes of MN. Do you find any of the cast, male or female, attractive?

Personally I think the majority are beautiful although I wouldn’t personally suit the “overdone” look I think most of them certainly carry it off well

I don’t think so. I think they’re ‘beautiful’ in a certain way…. Very fake and made up but actually when the make up is off the filler look horrific . It’s a shame as so many of them are so young too.

I think they are terrible role models. Plastic lips, overly made up, deliberately acting stupid…. But an easy way to get famous.

You think they're beautiful, but you want people to tell you they look horrific.

I doubt any of them are on Mumsnet, but their mums might be and it's not very nice of you OP.

I started a thread because I think they all look great and was wondering whether there was a certain demographic that find them attractive or not. Absolutely nothing to do with “wanting” people to call them horrific. What the actual hell??

Not especially, no. They're not unattractive either. They're kind of average looking people with a lot of cosmetic work and expensive clothes but never seem to have anything interesting to say, which is mainly what I find attractive in a person.

Tbh I have never seen Towie but I now I want to. I have seen some Joey Essex programme, him going on dates and such, I didn't find him particularly attractive 🤐

You just know the same person will be watching the thread with interest 😊 but just want strangers on the Internet to think they above it all.

I think the “look” you mean looks good on TV and insta (remember on both they will have professional make up artists, good lighting etc), but if you see lots of people who have had fillers, Botox, permanent make up etc in real life in my experience it often looks pretty bad and very incongruous, plus very obvious in most cases they’ve had work.

No they look prematurely aged and like they have very low self esteem. The girls are ripe to be used and don't even know why the look attracts scumbags. It's a shame.

No, they all look awful. Prematurely aged due to all the Botox and fillers.

Also if you are on a show like that, you put yourself out for criticism.

I saw a few mins of it the other day. I think they were at a barbecue or something like. One woman was wearing an orange jumpsuit. Apart from the lip filler face and fake looking boobs, the outfit was straight outta Austin Powers. But to answer the question, none of them were attractive as far as I could see. Fake everything - tan, lips, nails etc.

I've not seen it in years so have no idea what the current lot look like, but generally speaking, no. That Goodger one is downright ugly, and most of the OG are pretty unattractive (with the odd exception, Lydia Bright and Lucy Mecklenburgh were not as fake looking as the others and thus were more attractive) The men looked cheap and chavvy, too.
