Shamelessly BU but would really appreciate the hive mind’s input on this one. Friends and I coming to B’ham next week, staying centrally. Trains extortionate and buses inefficient. Can anyone recommend somewhere to park for about 36hrs with easy access to city centre? TIA

can you imagine how dull AIBU would be if everyone did this?!

I think you should be fine at one of the box car parks, depending on your location. Are you staying in a hotel? They might have a recommendation, or else ring one of the hotels in central Birmingham and ask them

Ncp not box!

Bit snippy?

If you don’t mind the cost you could use the bullring car park.

I agree if staying in a hotel ask there.

We stayed in a travel lodge in Birmingham and they had a deal with one of the carparks that we got 50% off just had to give reg number at the hotel

This is fab - thanks all, especially @PeonyBlushSuede

I always stay at either Aston or Broad St premier inn because they have on site parking. I wouldn't leave my car in a random car park in town for 36hrs.

Alternatively park on a street in Bournville and hop on the train in.

You could park at Birmingham International station (next to the airport) and get a train in to New St. Lots of spaces and likely to be much cheaper than city centre parking. (And spare the drive in to the city.)
