AIBU to think Christmas food to order should be available to order?

I wanted to order some of the Tesco “Christmas food to order” (turkey, prepared stuffing, sides etc).

M&S, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose etc all do similar. You pay a slight premium but it’s easier. Book it in October/November, pick it up or have it delivered just before Christmas.

Except Tesco won’t sell it to me unless I pay for a monthly grocery delivery slot. Even though I want to pick it up on click and collect.

So I can see the food available in the grocery app. I can add it to my basket. But because I can only select a slot up until 5th December I can’t check it out.

AIBU to think that if you advertise “Christmas food to order” you should allow your customers to order it?
