AIBU to be pissed off with DfE taking a year to look at complaint.

Last year I removed DS from his primary school, following a cluster of mistakes in managing his diabetes in school.

I made a complaint, followed their complaint procedure and despite having evidence to back up every single point of my complaint the governors upheld none of it. Upon requesting a copy of the minutes it show the chair passed along none of my supporting evidence, they faked hospital letters and claimed that a type 1 diabetic would not need insulin for a carb heavy lunch to excuse insulin missed for meals.

The head was earlier this year caught out lying about having diabetes training at a disability discrimination hearing.

And nothing has happened to these assholes at all. A year after requesting the DfE look at the mishandling of my initial complaint, they haven't yet gotten around to allocating someone to it.

Oh no, I ended up here for advice on first aid and training that is not adequate at my child’s school.
I am not at the Governor review and the head and deputy at my child school are also lying!
It would never occur to me to lie when someone has concrete evidence! I have a voicemail in which the staff member identifies herself and that she is calling from school and states something and tells me I MUST do something else. Literally those two sentences so no confusion.
They argue no one ever called about this “something” and the call was about something unrelated. Also that I wasn’t told I MUST do the further action but requested.
It’s literally in her voice 😂

Sorry that should read “I am now at the Governors review stage.”

The mental gymnastics that go on to justify themselves is astonishing. They must be going on courses to learn how to lie so shamelessly.

In their response to the court summons the school claimed
1.Three staff were fully trained by the hospital team
But also

2.No training was ever offered by the hospital so it couldn't have been their role as noone had been trained

IME @SullysBabyMama the governors will cover for the head and deputy. Its their job to make themselves protected from any fault or blame, not to hold them to account.
