West London.

It's fucking 2.30 in the morning and the fireworks are still going VERY strong.

Kids have school and people have to go to work!!

I love fireworks but why wouldn't people stop at midnight at the latest?!

People are wankers

It's Diwali, the festival of light

I'm aware it's Diwali. It's also now 3am and they are still bloody constant.

Thats no excuse to he letting fireworks off so late though.

coveredindoghairs · 13/11/2023 03:14

YANBU. No festival needs to be celebrated loudly enough to disturb neighbours at that hour. Save the fireworks for more reasonable hours and take the party indoors after eleven.

Maxus · 13/11/2023 06:16

I thought they where supposed to finish at 11.

Maxus · 13/11/2023 06:20

Just checked on a normal day it's 11pm. During bonfire night, new year or Diwali it's 1 am

Yes. Festival of light.
Not festival of ridiculously loud bangs and incredible selfishness keeping a whole neighbourhood awake past the legal time limit for fireworks.
I am also very annoyed as I've had around 2 hours sleep.

menopausalmare · 13/11/2023 06:53

Diwali appears to be the festival of bloody loud bangs. Buy quiet fireworks and celebrate light.

boamorte · 13/11/2023 07:00

Festival of Light, not Festival of Fucking Noise

Fireworks should be silent

I reckon I've had about the same amount of sleep.

Hope you manage to have a good day.

Went on well into the night here. Woke up at 5.30am and could still hear bangs in the distance. I’m exhausted, hopefully this will be the end of fireworks until NYE 😑.

Celticliving · 13/11/2023 07:08

@Gerrataere Nah mate, they'll go on for another week, I bet.

I. Am. So. Exhausted.

Thank you. You too!

It's the same where I am. Why it's ok for 0.6% of the population to keep everyone else up is beyond me.
