To think she shouldn't have just walked in

On holiday in Turkey and housekeeping just walked in without knocking I was shocked as I wasn't looking my finest. She asked if we was leaving today then gave me a hug goodbye.
Do you think it's acceptable to walk in like this and how would you have reacted.

Its not something I could get het up about enough to question it on SM.

2strappinglads · 10/11/2023 06:46

I'd be more concerned at being hugged by a random stranger

This is a weird post

No, it is not acceptable to walk in without knocking. What time was this?

VWT5 · 10/11/2023 06:48

YABU to waste time posting this.

No I don't think you are op, I wouldn't of liked that either. It's just good manners to knock first before entering!

I imagine she thought you had checked out and was looking for a tip left.

Is this a hotel room or an apartment/villa?

7.30am

Way too early. I always lock my hotel room door now to prevent this type of thing happening.

Unfortunately the lock isn't working properly so I've just been using the chain but where the chain attaches to on through door is loose as she tried to barge in before and took the surrounding strip off.

Really poor behaviour on her part
