Pictures of women - an AIBU challenge

Am booking a Christmas do and so am trawling my way through websites for companies offering experiences, meals etc and just about EVERY website has chosen pictures of young women at the exclusion of EVERYONE else.

Now in this age of diversity and inclusion I think this is a bit bloody off.

Do these venue owners think we're stupid - that at a darts event or a back gammon event or a restaurant or steam punk bar - that ALL of the people there are going to be 22 year old women having the absolute time of their lives?

I know sex sells, but I don't want to shag them. And like many women, I am the one organising.

Do they really think men are trawling through these sites basing their decision about where to book a Christmas do (like they ever bloody do anyway) on the fact that it suggests the place will be filled with young, fresh faced hotties?

FFS, just show us some geniune pics of a variety of people enjoying themselve and give us a break from the obvious suggestion and 'babe washing'.

AIBU???

(No I'm not, but I guess I'll get accused of being a right old fun sponge and that it 'doesn't matter'. To which I say in advance, I'm sick to death with young women being commoditised to sell stuff. Just be honest and show genuine people or at least mix it up so that EVERRYONE is commoditised and not just women.)

Well 3/4 of MN don't want to socialise with their works colleagues whether at an after work drink or an organised Xmas party, so I guess that rules out a vast swathe of age 30 + women. And the men don't tend to do much other than prop up the bar, so yeah I think it's not unexpected the pictures are of younger dressed up women having a good time

Women like those pics because they are aspirational
Men like the pics because they are hopeful

Hey I dont' like human nature being like that either, but seems to be hardwired. Very visual species. Pretty young Women are the most attractive role & suggestive models to both M & F. How many threads has MN had about "How do you avoid looking old!" when few answer by saying "so why would I care if I did look like an old woman?" How many times have you posted on those threads, OP, to say you are bored by them and can't understand why someone would ask.

Also see threads with titles like
"How do I cope with losing my looks?"
"How can I go gray and still look good?"
etc.

Personally I'm not very visual so I only look at the written information, the pictures might be useful for judging room size, I guess.
