I am single parent, have never had xmas at home with my girls aged 8, 16 and 20.
Have always gone to my dads and step mums, which is always very relaxed and chilled or to my mums where its stressful as my mum and step dad bicker and moan and swear which I dont like.
Last yr we went to my dads xmas day.
Boxing day my mum step dad and sisters were invited to mine where I was hosting, spent hours making homemade curries, was so nervous cos step dad thinks he is a chef and judgemenal. My mum and 1 sister turned up and said SD was hungover and has said hes not coming. I was so upset and annoyed. It ruined my boxing day. How rude! My mum said after a few months well that was his choice and he didnt want to be surrounded by women!
Anyway now xmas day needs sorting. I want to stay at home, not have to rush around. My dad and step mum are on their own so want them to come over
but havent told mum yet as worried she will be annoyed...
I am a grown woman and can make my own decisons right?
