Is it possible to earn a decent wage from home catering?

Interested in those who do catering as a career. I have a friend with some niche cooking skills, meaning traditional asian food not easily available in the UK. Also most of what is available is not authentic, she is really good. How easy is it to cater from home and make a decent wage. Any tips on what one needs to do to get started. She is not on social media so I am trying to help her.

AIBU to think that this is not likely to earn a decent wage say in the range of 40-60 K per annum or am I being silly and this is totally achievable.

There would be a lot of cost involved to get this business going - you would need food hygiene certification for starters - equipment etc and then stock -
You will also have energy costs to consider too….
The amount of money you make will be purely based on what your strategy is - it is very highly unlikely that you’ll earn a salary even close to those figures even when you are established let alone a start up -
You’ll be lucky to earn 20k.
