To worry my baby spends too much time in the car seat?

With older DC I feel my baby (4 months) spends most of the day being shuttled about. She doesn’t seem to mind but we have nursery run in the morning, then onto our own activity and back, nursery run again and then any other things like shopping or doctors and so on. We live remotely so can’t really walk to any of these activities. Is it too much? It’s probably at least a couple of hours a day, often more.

She'll be fine.

I think it's OK. As long as she gets some time every day to lie flat and move around. It is the inclined and restricted position with a car seat that is considered non ideal, but it's considered alright for up to 2 hours at a time, a couple of hours over the course of the day should be OK.

If you're concerned about it I would avoid using the car seat on the pram wheels, make sure you swap her to a carrycot or lie flat buggy and try to avoid using similar position items at home like a swing or bouncer (but even if you do use these things, it's really not the end of the world!)
