To love the boiler from the bathroom

The boiler is currently in the bathroom in and airing cupboard which has shelves for storage.

When we renovated I want to move the boiler. To the downstairs utility but keep the airing cupboard for storage.

Husband think we should leave the boiler as is if we will not get rid of the whole cupboard ? His argument is that it will be a lot work and it will ruin the look of the new utility.

what do you think ?

We have removed the massive airi g cupboard from our bathroom and will relocate the hot water cylinder. This creates enough room for a walk in shower. No brainer.

I think if you're just keeping as a cupboard then dh is right. If it were going to be a shower or create extra space then fair enough but frankly you can get a cupboard off ebay and use it as storage in the utility.

If you are using utility to dry clothes and boiler heat may help this, then that's a different argument. Currently, I don't get why you're moving it.

I think I’m siding with your husband on this one.

I think when we have to go over to heat pumps, hot water cylinders will be required again, so if you believe that's going to happen soon/ever, it might change the usefulness of your plan. That said, I had my boiler moved from a bedroom to the kitchen and it wasn't a particularly lengthy or expensive job.
