2 year old was sent home from nursery with runny naps a week or so ago. Since then been fine in himself.

This morning he woke up with this on his upper leg near his groin area. No others I could see and thought perhaps nappy had rubbed overnight.

Nursery informed me this morning they've had a few cases of CP in his room.

So what do we think? 😫 whenever he's ill he seems to get things badly so not looking forward to it if so!

Looks like CP, especially if you know they’ve had contact with other cases

Yes, that definitely looks like the first stage of a chicken pox spot to me - they usually start out by forming a little blister and then they start to itch and scab over. That looks like one of the blisters that you get on the first day. And it's so super contagious, so if he's been in contact with other kids who have it, I'd say almost certain.

Hope he gets away with a mild case.

Yes, combined with CP in nursery and him being sent home with sniffles a few days before, I'd say it's very likely to be chickenpox. Where is he now? If that was a picture from this morning, I'd say you'd already be seeing a bunch more spots if you take a look. Check chest and back in particular.
