If I have low iron does my baby??

My ferritin was 4. I’ve been on iron tablets for months. Dd is pale but eats well. Could she be deficient?

How old is she? Is she taking a baby multivitamin? Is she on solids? Did you take iron during pregnancy? If I understand correctly while pregnant our body first uses our existing iron stores for growing the baby so even if you are deficient it doesn't mean she is. Does she have any other symptoms apart from being pale?
