to laugh at DB getting his comeuppance for cheating!

my DB left my lovely, wonderful sister-in-law 18 months ago and went off with a younger woman he met at work. It was awful - my nieces were only 2 at the time (twins) and he behaved pretty badly. It came so out of the blue and he immediately wanted us to play happy families with the new girlfriend. Well, he’s just been ditched by the girlfriend! Out on his ear apparently and staying at a mate’s - she’s decided he’s gotten too intense with her and she doesn’t want to be a step-mum.

My lovely sister in law is thriving and doing amazing as a single Mum, so she’s had the last laugh. I know he’s my brother but he really deserves this, so I’ve raised a glass to karma tonight. I hope he learns from this and can become the best dad and co-parent he can be now, and the girlfriend (ex!) can move on with her life.

I would feel the same.

Sarahzb · 29/10/2023 22:30

Hmm. There's no vote needed is there?
He was an idiot and got what he deserved - nothing.

Toddlerteaplease · 29/10/2023 22:33

Same thing happened to my friend. He cheated, she's thriving. He split up with OW and he's struggling.

clarebear111 · 29/10/2023 22:35

Thanks for sharing this. I find it so reassuring karma comes up trumps.

karmasacat · 29/10/2023 22:39

Ha - no one thinks I am being U yet! You’re all my kinda women 😘😉

Karma may be a bitch but you gotta love when she gets the deserving ones😁

LakeTiticaca · 29/10/2023 22:46

Might teach him to keep his pants zipped 😉😉

TeaAndTattoos · 29/10/2023 22:52

Haha brilliant karma always gets them in the end. Let’s hope he learns his lesson and
doesn’t do the same thing to any other poor woman. I’m his now ex girlfriend came to
her senses and showed him the door. I’m a very petty person so I would take great pleasure in letting him know how overjoyed I am that’s now getting his just desserts. I hope his ex wife and his DD’s are happy and doing well.

I recently bumped into a friend that I hadn't seen for a while. She told me that her ds had walked out on his dw for another woman and that hasn't lasted and he's back living with his parents. She said she has absolutely no sympathy for him because he's brought it on himself.

They've let him move back home but my friend told me that she has told both her ds and her dil that ds is totally to blame; she loves dil like a daughter and said that they have still got a strong relationship and dil knows that she can still rely on my friend for practical and moral support (she's always helped out with childcare, esp in school holidays).

I always knew that my friend was a goodun. Nice to have it confirmed.

Sharontheodopolodous · 29/10/2023 23:12

My ex walked out on me-the ow was my best mate

I'd just had his baby (who was 4 months)

We where like sisters,so close and she was shagging my boyfriend

They thought it was funny to rub my nose in it and sent me photos and video clips of them shagging and spiteful phone calls

6 weeks later, their house burnt down-they lost everything, apart from the pj's they where wearing

4 days before Christmas

8 weeks after that, she got back with her ex after getting sick of being treated like a blow up doll in bed and a walking purse out of it (my standards are a hell of a lot higher now)

He ended up sofa surfing for 8 months, sponging on the dole until he found another mug to sponge from-falling out with his family and most of his friends and her ex dumped her after cheating on her, leaving her two 2 stds-one is incurable

Then her mum (who was ill) died so she lost her new home as it was in mums name (not sure why)

I moved on,got some qualifications behind me and got a great job

Met dp not long after and am happy

Karma is a bitch and its pronounced 'hahahahahahahaha'

Men need to learn that the grass isn’t greener on the other side of the fence - it just looks it when you are sat on the fence.
The DB is now peeping through a hole in the fence watching his ex wife thrive and the kids that he will never properly live with again playing merrily without him.
Men and their pants - they ( collective) never learn so they?

Who voted YABU?!

I have to admit that I am not a believer in "Karma gets them in the end" because sadly often it doesnt. Sometimes the absolute worst people sail through life with no consequences borne by them, they cause it in others but never seem to get any pay back themselves.

So when it DOES happen, oh yes I am very happy! I am glad that your SIL is doing so well, how many days are we giving it before he turns up to see the kids looking unkempt and talking about how he thinks he had some sort of breakdown and can he come back please?

I am putting my money on within the fortnight. Happy to run the sweepstake!

Passepartoute · 29/10/2023 23:26

I wouldn't be rooting for the ex-girlfriend too much, to be honest. What was she doing having an affair with a man she knew to be married and a father?

ACGTHelix · 29/10/2023 23:39

what complicated lives we lead,

that said why people or some presume the grass is green is quite the mystery

Again, many years on this planet and it still saddens me the number of women who are so desperate for the lies to be true that they will believe the most outrageous whoppers. You only have to look on threads about "Could he be cheating" to see that the wife has accepted a pair another womans knickers in their bed, used condoms in the bin and him suddenly finishing work late and having "conferences" being explained as a posh wank and penchant for cross dressing, whilst working hard to provide for the family. You cant make people see the truth they dont want to be true.

Older women too, not just naive ones who could perhaps be excused for not knowing that the best way to know if a married man is lying to you is to watch to see if his lips move.

Sadly, some women could walk in on their partner stark naked, balls deep in another woman on their kitchen table, have him look at her and say "I'm on the vinegar strokes luv, make us a cuppa and a sandwich while I clean my cock on your skirt" and still say maybe I'm overreacting.

Sadly so.

And thats why I am never disbelieving of other women who cheerfully accept "The marriage has been over for years, we are more housemates than a couple, the pregnancy was a drunken one off and I am not even sure that the baby is mine. I am definitely leaving when the youngest is at high school, she is mentally unstable........" blah blah. They know its bullshit but they want it to be true so they believe so hard in case that makes it true.

Catsmere · 30/10/2023 00:55

Serves the bastard right! I hope your SIL makes sure he never darkens her doorstep again and laughs in his face if he tries any poor-me-I-was-tempted-I'm-so-sorry bullshit.
