DH insists on DS writing thank you notes to his friends for birthday presents.

DH's general rule of thumb is if the person didn't see you open the present, you write a thank you note. I get this for family and family friends that you don't always get to see.

DS doesn't get invited to a lot of parties but the last one he did, I just got a text from the Mum to say thanks.

It's a battle to get DS to write, he hates it. We only get him to do a 1 liner thing but I've got this battle this morning and just can't be bothered. Lol.

WIBU if I didn't get him to do it?

You're not being unreasonable.

Send thanks by text.

Cards are a waste of paper.

A thank you text is absolutely fine!
