Scrolling on Instagram and came across the attached image!

It’s a bra with faux nipples!

I buy a bra with nipple concealment being at the forefront, especially something like a T-shirt bra.

The attached image also implies that this isn’t being marketed for any other reason, post op support for example.

AIBU to think wtaf or is this now a new thing and am I missing something?

It's definitely a thing to have your nips showing through clothes now, yes. I'm not on board with it!

I think that's just marketing - ie post op doesn't mean that you need clinical type advertising. The blurb in the advertising does say that they were thinking post op and also ladies with bigger busts that wanted a no bra look.

Not for me though I agree.

Some people like that look and have inverted nipples or saggy breasts I suppose.

Whilst I won’t be buying one, I am glad that no-bra look is a thing.

Previously if you wanted to not wear a bra it looked so unusual and that even if you had a general ‘I’ll wear what I want’ attitude, it still felt scandalous.

So I think it’s made normal no-bra wearing a bit easier.

The fact you are quite scandalised by this is a bit funny. It made me think of the SATC episode where they wear the fake nipples.

Rumour has it that Jennifer Anniston wore fake nipples on friends. Having watched some of the episodes recently, her nipples are quite prominent through her clothes in many scenes, and given it must be really warm in a filming studio, they probably are fake.

Im torn because I agree with the narrative that women’s nipples don’t need to be covered versus what erect nipples signify (rightly or wrongly) in society. What I mean is - why does showing erect nipples add to anything?

What if your regular nipples show through but in another place? Maybe the double nipple look will catch on? One pert and one saggy per tit? 😂😂😂

M & S should sell T shirts with different nipple heights. They could have Petite Pert (PP) or Petite Saggy (PS).

I think that would lead to a lot of customer returns though. Imagine getting home and realising your nipples didn't fit standard T shirts any more.

After five kids my nipples don’t belong in m&s they belong in national geographic. Now if they do a bra range…
