Any ideas how long reflux takes to heal

Through use of medication like omeprazole? Been taking 5 days so far sore throat has gone but cough and bubbling at back of throat us still there

It should have worked long before 5 days. Maybe worth seeing doc for something stronger if it’s not breaking it down.

When you have reflux into your throat, it can take a long time to settle. A proton pump inhibitor like Omeprazole is the very best treatment for acid reflux. There are different PPIs that you can take but they all work the same way. If my throat gets congested I find sucking a boiled sweet helps, especially Halls Menthol throat sweets. The extra saliva you produce helps to clear your throat. Five days isn’t long at all but if you don’t improve after a few weeks, you may need a higher dose.

Have you tried any lifestyle changes? Giving up alcohol completely helped me.

Dr gave me a month's supply. The pills help settle the symptoms and just had my prescription refilled
