To ask how not to get sweat patches!!

Asking this on behalf of teen DD. She’s going to a Halloween night out next week & is wearing a tight long sleeve top as part of her costume (unfortunately the bottom half is a skirt that looks more like a belt but anyways 😂).
She’s really worried about sweating (she sweats a lot anyways and obviously in a bar it’s going to be hot).
Any tips on how she can avoid sweat patches??

If its armpit sweat patches she's worried about then the roll on triple dry is absolutely brilliant. I apply it every evening and then just a normal deodorant in the morning and my pits don't sweat at all any more. They used to be really really bad, I'm a nurse and I'd have huge pit marks on my scrubs, it was actually really embarrassing.

This is the stuff

Driclor

allofthelove · 24/10/2023 19:34

We use Mitcham deodorant . Does the job

Hankunamatata · 24/10/2023 19:38

Panty liner stuck to inside of the top in arms pits

This you can actually buy liners for this on amazon.

Mitchum and also this!

Livedandlearned · 24/10/2023 21:24

And I think glycolic acid applied before the deodorant helps

Limth · 24/10/2023 21:35

Another vote for Driclor.

She should put some on the night before the party (NOT on freshly shaved arm pits), wash it off on the morning, and just give her pits a little spritz of whatever she usually uses (for the smell more than anything), she'll be grand

I found Mitchum completely useless even though its highly recommended on here. It didn't keep me dry at all and smelled really musty.

BorisIsACuntWaffle · 24/10/2023 21:36

Sure max strength. Only thing that stops me 💦

Helenahandkart · 24/10/2023 21:38

Dress shields. Available from haberdashers.

CatamaranViper · 24/10/2023 21:40

Mitchum is hopeless on me!

As a teen I used to coat my armpits in talc after deodorant and use panty liners, though I appreciate times have changed since then

weightsandwine · 24/10/2023 22:02

Everything @Limth says

Worked for me after trying everything and I had sweat patches for years

Doesn't take long to start to work either. Can buy from Tesco

GlitteryFarts · 24/10/2023 22:07

Driclor.
I had years of trying everything and this stuff works like nothing else.
It stings and chafes a bottle first few times though. Don't put it on freshly shaved armpits.

Mayhemmumma · 25/10/2023 11:42

Driclor!

Amazing stuff but yeah don't ever put it on if you've shaved that morning!

OneTC · 25/10/2023 11:52

Odaban - you need to use it for a little while though, it doesn't start working straight away

PinkRoses1245 · 25/10/2023 12:00

Triple Dry works for me

babbaganoush · 25/10/2023 12:21

Driclor 100%

I find I only need to use it once or twice a week with normal deodorant daily and it works wonders.

AmiablePedant · 25/10/2023 16:47

What colour is the top? Black (or white) doesn't really show the patches (spent a summer in a very hot climate driving a car that had no air-conditioning; wore nothing but white and black all that summer!)

Grealish · 29/10/2023 13:56

You are all superstars thank you! We have stocked up on Driclor & Mitchum!

Boots fabric dressing strips. £1 for a pack of ten.

slugHell · 29/10/2023 14:34

Underarm pads like these stick to the inside of your top and will soak up any sweat. You can't see them at all from the outside :) Driclor works for some people but for me it made my underarms unbearably itchy and sore so this is an easier alternative!
