Hi I’m looking for advice on which to go for
both are automatic petrol as has to be auto.
clio rs line or captur gt line

Ive only ever driven smaller hatchbacks eg fiat punto so the captur makes me nervous however it does have reverse camera and park assist etc .

Family of 4, no pushchairs , 1 graco car seat ( the high back 4-12years seat )
1 tall teen.

Both are similar price just shy of 15k and the Clio is higher price by around £500

insurance is about the same
I live where there are no showrooms etc so have to buy online did manage to sit kids in back if captur and plenty of space

  • please don’t suggest any other cars as it’s these two we’ve got it down to and between Any advice appreciated many thanks

Have a Captur and really like driving it. Did take a bit of getting used to parking but the camera makes it so much easier. Previous car was a panda so like you a step up size wise.

Hey OP did you get a captur? I love the look of them but haven’t driven one yet - was wondering what you think? Thanks.

Hi
no I didn’t get either the one I looked at had slight issues and the guy would t budge on price. They are roomy though so I’ll look for another, however I may wait til jan / feb as prices are slowly coming down. Which trim are you going for? I’m sticking with gt line or if I win the lottery the rs line

Don't wait till Jan. used prices go up then. This is what happens every year in the motor industry. January is our busiest month of the year. We are stocking up now with cheap cars and the week before Jan prices will go up. October and November are the best time to buy, most traders will budget to lose money those 2 months of the year. You have much more bargaining power now, don't base it on one thing experiences I would say.

You're right about prices. They dropped 4.2% this month and a further 1.5% mid month adjustment. Worst drop for 11 years. Ultimately a correction of the Covid chaos. I'd buy now!

Thanks! I have no idea about these things, one with 4 wheels 🤣 I had a clio I loved but want extra height.

Ok I didn’t realise prices going up next year , I am still actively looking so hopefully one comes up soon.

For anyone wondering about the Clio I did manage to go and view one in person the boot surprised me , it is quite generous and also the back seats were ok however I found the driver seat very hard to get into it and out of , it’s quite low down and I have minor health problems but long term it wouldn’t work for me so definitely going for a captur so much easier to get into and better visibility.
