To ask how much it cost you for joists?

Bathroom ceiling collapsed due to a leaky cistern we didn't know was leaking. Floor boards are all piss wet through. Joists are also fucked. Home insurance isn't covering it at all because we should have known about the leak 👍

New bathroom is being fitted next week but the bathroom fitters won't sort out the boards and joists so I got a builder to come and quote but he hasn't done it yet.

Any one else had this? How much did it cost?

How big is the bathroom? It's really difficult to give suggestions when the room could be 2 x 2 or 8 x 8.

Are the joists definitely ruined or could they be dried out?

Maybe return once he's quoted? Or ask another builder for a quote to compare.
