To be annoyed at the gasman

Boiler Engineer was supposed to come Friday, by about 3pm no sign of him, text him to ask for a rough time, replies teatime but whilst I'm replying "ok" he phones and says it will be Monday now, even rings me Saturday to say he'll be here today ( monday) by around 12pm, its now nearly 1.30pm , now I know there's still time but the fact he should have come Friday and didn't and now late today is not leaving me very confident tbh.
How many chances would you give someone to show up, what if he phones today and reschedules again? I think my partner will be livid if he does and want to book someone else!
Engineer has both our numbers to call.
And I'm bloody freezing!

I would give him one more text now and if I wasn't happy with the answer, I'd cancel him and give him a bad review.

He literally just called to say he's on the way 😆🤣🤣🤣🤣

Did you ask where from?

if you're freezing it sounds like it's broken, rather than a service?

if you own the property, the boiler covers are often quite a good deal and you only have to wait 30/60 days before they kick in. Saved me a fortune last year when the heater matrix packed in.

It's not a service it had that in April, its likely the pump that's gone, hot water, no heating but boiler fires up, nearest radiator only will warm up.
Anyway he's on his way now apparently

Too late now but we have lots of electric heaters just in case our heating goes down.

Yes emergency space heaters are a great thing if you need it.

I generally am pretty chill(no pun intended) when it comes to anyone fixing heating systems. Many times they don’t know what they are in for until they get there and obviously can’t just say “oh sorry gotta go or I’ll be late for my next appointment “ in the middle of a repair.
