Sorry for posting here but I really want to know if this is something many others have experienced or know about?

The last 2 times I've been to the loo of a morning (#2 💩) - so that's Monday and today (clearly took a day off yesterday) I've been fine to start with, then started getting awful diarrhoea/crampy pains, then my stomach started squeezing like I was going to be sick- then I was profusely sick (ruined a bath mat). That was Monday- I felt relatively normal straight afterwards.

Then this morning, same again- felt absolutely fine to start with (but in the back of my mind thinking I hope it doesn't happen again) - next thing I knew, stomach started that pumping sick style action/retching but this time felt much more sick with full on fever , sweating and nausea. Sicked up bile and it wasn't pleasant from the other end either.

Here's another apology.

I've googled it and read that straining can trigger it, but neither time was I straining at all (and I have most certainly strained before and known about it- but this has never happened before).

I made a doctor's appt for tomorrow morning, but have just cancelled remembering how crap my doctor is. From what I've read on MN, there's a lot more knowledge and experience combined than I'll likely get from the GP. (not a comment about GPs in general).

Thanks in advance if you can shed any light on this.

Did it happen today as well or just the 2 days? Are you otherwise well in yourself?
I had the new variant of covid for the past week and my system isn't quite right, didn't eat or go for 3 days as no appetite, first time i did it left my body again 45 minutes later from a second bladder. Since then i get really bad crampy urgency a couple of times a day, even if i was sat there an hour before and couldn't go at all.

Could you be pregnant Op? Friend had similar but felt OK in herself then turned out she was pregnant.

Hi @AlmostAJillSandwich sorry to hear about your COVID (just understood '2nd bladder'!!)that sounds unnerving. It sounds like this variant is a whole different beast from before.
I haven't tested lately but sounds like it might be worth a check. Thanks for that and hope you feel back to normal soon.

Hi @SwiftieGrainger - as there's a 7 billion percent chance I'm definitely not pregnant, it didn't occur to me to point out that that's not that case! But thanks for the suggestion. When I was pregnant, I felt nauseous all the time but was never actually sick.

Maybe just a strange anomaly. Thanks for the suggestions.

Oh and @AlmostAJillSandwich sorry forgot to add, it's been the last 2 times I've been to the toilet , so hasn't skipped a day yet (I didn't 'go' yesterday!)

Sorry for all the bowel talk
