Aibu to expect OH to show an interest in my day?

Started a new job yesterday. Had a bit of a drama so when I got home I told OH all about it. Today I got home and he just said hello, that was about it. Dd2 called out asking how my day had been so I replied "good thanks". I asked OH about his day, he told me, then silence. I waited a few minutes and then said "my day was good, incase you're interested". He replied that he knew my day was good as he'd heard me reply to dd2. I said it would have been nice if he'd actually asked me about it. He said "I knew you'd tell me anyway so there was no point in asking ". AIBU to think that if there's something going on in your partner's life you show an interest by asking about it? Some days he seems to show an interest in things, other days he comes out with this line which I think is rude

My DH always asks about my day, that’s just normal polite behaviour? , it sounds like yours isn’t really interested in the answer tbh. Sorry about that.
