Long shot but does anyone know the jargon for Ultrasound speak and can explain this report for me in simple terms?

My GP ordered an Ultrasound due to some ongoing symptoms and I have been told I now need to take said report to my local hospital.

Picked it up from the doctor today but I understand none of it (and hasn't really been explained to me either)

I can just wait to be seen but I'm being impatient 🙂

I'm so sorry you had a miscarriage
Endometrial lining is still thickened and blood is still flowing into the lining
Query Retained products which would
explain the lining still being thickened
I imagine you will be offered a D&C in due course( I was)

Gggge · 11/10/2023 16:52

Thank you for replying and explaining! I'm so surprised I'd have thought I'd have had quite severe symptoms with retained products from months ago.

Yes, me too
Have you felt unwell at all?
I was put on antibiotics straight after the scan until there was a space for the D&C just in case

Hi, this happened to me, I had no symptoms and thought I had passed it all during the MC. But I was not scanned, and as I didn't know what I was looking for, told the staff over the phone it had all passed, so they didn't scan. Few months later I got pregnant again, and miscarried again. At the scan this time, the RPOC were found. I had a D&C where they told me it was all removed. Sadly it wasn't and I passed the rest at home a few days later. It was a really difficult time mentally and physically so please take care of yourself and also, 💐

justsayso · 11/10/2023 16:57

What I mean is on the second miscarriage they found RPOC from the first.
