To get a cheapy "engagement ring" for everyday wear?

My engagement ring is stunning and I love it. I've had it for 11 years. But unfortunately the setting is very high and it tends to get in the way sometimes. Today it snagged my favourite jumper and it got me thinking...

I have a lovely right-hand-ring that is a bezel setting, and the gem sits more like a smooth little pebble. Would it be weird to look for a small cubic zirconia solitaire in that sort of setting, to wear instead of my engagement ring?

I don't want to just stop wearing an engagement ring, as my wedding and eternity rings kind of need an engagement ring to complete the set. I know DH wouldn't mind or likely notice and I would also be less worried about losing it. Shall I??

I was looking at the lab diamonds on Pandora earlier, there is a very pretty simple bezel style for about £250

I would🤗 I have a substitute wedding ring as my work only allowed for a single plain band for safety & hygiene reasons. I got used to it & now only wear my proper ones for “best” means I don’t worry about damage or loss. DH has same for safety reasons .

Yes, this is exactly what I had in mind! I think I'm going to treat myself Grin

It’s really lovely! And then you won’t worry about losing it or snagging.

fab!
my only concern about taking off my ring is losing it. I feel like it’s safest on glued to my finger.
So if you have somewhere really safe and reliable to store your original, go for it!
