To have hurt my toe from coins falling on it

Am I just a big whinge? Some coins in an envelope end of envelope burst and lots of coins fell on my second toe, then bounced off and scattered around the floor. My toe is so red and throbbing. AIBU to think something as light as a few coins could actually hurt my toe? It’s so sore and I feel ridiculous saying that out loud 🙈

I dropped a wooden egg cup on my toe at the weekend and it was so painful that I cried. You have my sympathy!

You dropped something on your toe. It hurts. It will get better.

It does sound painful. Maybe the coins caught the nail bed. Some ice might help?

I once dropped am empty wine bottle on my big toe and I thought I was going to die. It hurt for about a year afterwards.

You're not making a fuss about nothing. It's surprisingly painful if you drop something on your toes because they contain a bunch of nerves but don't have much padding to buffer them.

I once knocked a jar of honey onto my foot from the top of a cupboard. It was agony! Honestly, I didn't know what to do with myself - and the pain went on and on.

Later, my big toe nail went black.

Even the most minor foot injuries hurt so much! I hit the top of my foot on the accelerator when pushing my seat back to get out of the car, my foot was black and blue from just a slight bang 😖

Yes that would definitely hurt. My classic thing is dropping my phone on my foot -ouch 😓

I never forget my youngest son dropped an IPad on his three year old brother’s big toe . He cried and cried , it then got infected and a little girl in wellies stood on it at the pharmacy whilst we collecting his antibiotics . I could have cried myself after the scream he let out. It actually did him a favour as it burst and stop the throbbing . Poor thing!!
