To think David Beckham just looks like a standardly attractive man?

All these threads about the Beckham documentary and so many people going on about how 'easy on the eye' / beautiful he is.

I'm not saying he's unattractive but I don't get why he's so objectified?

He just looks like any average bloke to me.

Why the hysteria over his looks?

I totally agree. He clearly has business and branding ability and has no doubt been helped along the way (I assume) by experts, but I’ve always thought of him as pretty standard for looks and IQ.

I guess it’s all in the eye of the beholder. Good luck to him.

Absolutely @Oldthyme. I have no issue with him whatsoever and think he and Victoria have worked really hard to get where they are. I don't know him at all.

I'm just baffled why he's so objectified for his looks when he's such an obviously talented sportsperson.

I find it really uncomfortable actually.

Not my cup of tea but objectively he has even features, nice hair and a decent body. I have never noticed any hysteria about him though.

Personally for me the personality is what makes a man attractive. Obviously there needs to be a spark but when I met my husband (and many other men in my life, colleagues, friends etc) I have not found them physically attractive until I know them better. My husband is a very average man. Seemingly quiet and on the side at a party where as I am more extrovert. He has a wicked sense of humour that takes a while for anyone to notice, is unassuming and a gentleman. When I look at him I think of him as far far more handsome than the David Beckhams of this world who can't speak properly. Often wise I see very attractive men and then they speak with poor intellect and grammar and I am instantly turned off. It is so much more than looks in my humble opinion but there will always be the shallow folk who think looks matter.

How many average blokes do you know that look like David Beckham?! If that's true can I move to wherever you live please 😂

I‘d probably feel a bit self conscious if he was a dad at the school gates but that’s as far as it goes. I wouldn’t be hysterical but can’t think of any man I would get hysterical over. Jamie Dornan might get me a bit flustered

He’s an attractive man but has never done it for me. Just doesn’t do it for me. I’m sure I wouldn’t do it for him either ha!

I personally have never fancied him. Probably because I’m not into blondes or lanky men for that matter. It’s weird, because I can see he is good looking but he does nothing for me. I find Gary Neville more attractive tbh.

I think he looks rough as fuck now. You’d never give him a second glance anywhere. But he’s amazing and intriguing. And my god the moments in life he’s experienced. I’d happily spend time chatting to him. He’s pretty cool.

If you ignore the tattoos, I think he is quite attractive until he opens his mouth.

Me too. As soon as he shaved his head when he was young I fancied him. Then the headband stage 😍, and I still think he's gorgeous now. Tattoos are lovely.
