I had a consultation with an immigration lawyer, we paid the initial consultation fee and she was extremely useful and we got on well. We had a rough plan but we continued to email for the next month or so as options came up (for free).
We now have a more solid plan and wanted to start executing it. So I emailed the lawyer saying we want to pay the retainer and get going but there was no response, called the office and no response. I’ve called a few more times over the last week and a half and nothing at all. It rings out then goes to voicemail.
How long do I leave it before finding a new lawyer? We’ve not signed anything with her. And haven’t paid a retainer.
