Just that, really!

One that forever sticks in my mind is a few years ago, when I had a full blown hallucination.
DH and I were driving with my sister, back home from collecting a takeaway. Middle of winter on a quiet, tree lined 60mph road. We were all chatting away, nothing huge had happened that day.

Anyway.. all of a sudden, the car in front of us flipped and rolled over and over again, bursting into flames. DH was driving and I didn't think twice.. I grabbed the steering wheel, forcing the car into the oncoming lane. Thank GOD there was no traffic coming the other way. It happened SO clear, right in front of my eyes.

DH and my sister were shaking with fear and rage at me. I fully hallucinated the whole thing. It felt so real, it absolutely terrified me. I ended up researching the road and if any incidents of a similar nature had ever happened there in the past. A week prior, in 1998, the exact event happened. A car burst into a ball of flames, killing all inside Sad

Needless to say, it still freaks me out to think about.

Have you ever had anything similar happen?

That is meant to read: in 1998, this exact incident happened only a few days (6) prior to the date I had the hallucination. Sorry for any confusion there! The event itself happened to me only 3 years ago!

Sounds so terrifying! I hope you get more replies as it’s a very interesting topic. I haven’t had anything similar so can’t really comment.

Yes a couple of years ago I was driving along the road to Hadrian‘s wall National Trust site. A car overtook us and then was driving erratically all over the road. They then slowed right down zig zagging across the road. I called the police and gave the reg. They pulled over into a lay-by and as we passed, there was a woman with a huge knife in her hand. I had my kids with me so didn’t want to stop. It was so frightening and my kids were really upset. After we calmed down, I thought she must have had mental health issues and I wonder what happened to her.
Another incident was in Italy where we drove past a car that had come off the road. The poor guy was hanging out of his window. People were on scene but I’m ashamed to say I didn’t stop. I don’t speak Italian and again I was scared of traumatising my kids who were only little at the time. I found out through a news site that he had died. I feel guilty that maybe I could have done something.
