I'll go first.

You have an issue. Your husband/partner is an arse, you hate your job, your kids are treating thehouse like a hotel.

You want to share it. You want community. You want feedback.

You are immediately told you are the problem or that you haven't provided enough precise evidence as to the facts, or word for word what happened.

The end.

Here endeth my sonnet on Forum Regret Syndrome.

Any more forum regrets?

Yep agree.
God forbid you feel really vulnerable, or are posting about someone who is ..(Reflecting on my posting a few years ago about my DP having been abused for a decade ...and posters trying to turn it into this being his fault - for obvious reasons ("his"!).)

Unreal isn't it. I'm sorry that happened to you.

The bit about being vulnerable is so true. We are all here anonymously trying to share that vulnerability and some of the responses are breatakingly scathing.

I think I have a thick skin and tend to think the worst of myself any way but still OUCH😀

Not quite to the point but I cringe when posters post negative comments when they have misconstrued the OP’s perfectly clear post or repeatedly ask questions that have been answered Comprehension seems very poor sometimes but strangely invariably is to the OP’s disadvantage.
The supply of empathy appears to be diminishing.

Yes last night on my thread about forgetting to have lunch. I am a worrier by nature and it was a totally trivial thing to worry about but some of those comments were horrendous! It’s so easy to just scroll past something rather than being nasty for the sake of it. I’ve seen it happen so often on here and most often on people’s threads on AIBU. I think some get kicks out of the fact they can be as nasty as they like and it’s totally anonymous.
