To think these children are too young

To think children of age 4,6 and 7 are too young to play at the front of the house unsupervised whilst parents are in the house and going off down the road (busy road) on their bikes. They are out in our road till at least 8:00-8:30 shouting

I think 4 is very young, 6 really depends on how sensible the kid is and 7 is OK. Of course that all depends on the area they are in too.

Yes. One stupid SUV swings into the road and they'll have a dead kid.

Do you mean in the middle of the busy road or on the pavement at the side of a busy road?

Round my way, 6 and 7 year olds playing out is very normal. Particularly if we're talking about the bit immediately outside their own houses.
4 is young but not unheard of, if they're with older siblings.
We have quiet streets and landscaped back courts though. The busy road aspect is clearly not ideal.

Do you mean a busy road as in a main road or one that just runs through the estates? My dc have played out on their bikes on the road outside our house, which is just one that goes through the estate, and they have done so since they were about 6.
