Aibu to complain about lack of progress car accident claim?

I had a car accident 5 years ago now. There is a court case scheduled for November. I have severe anxiety and have expressed numerous times I didn't want to have to attend court.

I've had several different case handlers, switched company and have a lack of communication unless I initiate contact and even then I get a generic reply of I'll chase it up.

Of course I understand these things take time. They initially made an offer (the opponent) which was a lot lower than they estimated the claim worth. I was more than happy to accept and get this over with but really feel they forced my hand in proceeding with court proceedings and telling me that it's highly unlikely to go court but I should fight it honestly I didn't even think about it at the time and just agreed.

I don't want to have to attend court (I have nothing to hide by the way in case that's questioned) and now I'm stuck and my anxiety is through the roof. Aibu to try and stop the claim completely? Will I be liable for the costs?
