Paid for 37h, working 37.5

I've recently started a 9-5 role with a standard 30 minute unpaid lunch. The problem is that we're paid for a 37 hour week, yet this equates to 37.5h as suggested in my title.
Therefore, we're owed 6 minutes per day. I should raise this with management really, I know it's only 30 minutes per week but it adds up.
Wibu to either leave 5 minutes earlier or take a short morning/afternoon break to compensate for the extra time? In fairness I'm sure I've seen people leaving at 55 past the hour.
Just don't want to be taken advantage of by employers. Does anybody else have this?

Sorry just reread that it’s a 9-5 role so that is a bit different. Still; I’m sure if it’s civil service then there’ll be an explanation seeing as unions are well represented in the workforce.

Oh man, I work over all the time but then when it’s quiet I claw back the time.
also very flexible over appointments etc. would that not work for you?

Deal with it now, because my friend found out she’d worked an extra 20 minutes a week without pay for three years. They refused to pay what they owed her because they concluded that she’d “accepted the situation” and it was her word against theirs. They refused to communicate over email about it so she had nothing in writing. She’d worked there 20 years and ended up leaving after that.

Civil service too. Contract is 7:24 a day. I take 30 minutes for lunch. Hours on flexi sheet is 7:30, so half an hour flexi a week.
