I've recently changed jobs, but due to the payroll cut off dates I'll be waiting a bit longer to get paid.
I'm also with an agency that offers shifts as and when. In desperation, I accepted a 7pm-7am shift this evening.
I work 9-5 in the office and have over an hour commute so I will have to go straight to the shift.
Admittedly my office job isn't exactly hard work, hence why I'm now typing this!
However I didn't sleep well last night and the thought of having to go straight into the night shift is stressful. I'll get £150 for the shift, but other shifts have come up now for other days on mornings/evenings which I could have done.
Once I'm back onto full monthly pay I won't need to do this extra work. They'll not be happy with this late cancellation today, and I'll lose the £150. I'm really not sure what to do, I shouldn't have accepted it. Also despise night shifts.
