Ive not met anyone that has an amazing relationship with their in laws, but does it exist?
My dh's family drive me insane, his mum & I have history and have fallen out because she interfered massively, then was non stop about how she wont be able to see her grandson now as his mum (me) wont let her visit. The minute we "made up" she never bloody sees him! If she does its just to come and talk at me for 2 hours barely plays with him! Let alone her ever asking to have him 1:1
Then the nan is forever in everyones business! The minute someone passes comment on what she does she is outraged and how dare they.
Today she has told dh he is stingy for the amount of money he's putting in dss's card for birthday. We are putting the absolute max we can afford. We've just had a major financial change in our circumstances! Not that we have to justify it to her!
It's just absolutely absurd to me that they don't see what they are doing!
The nan will do the things she complains about people doing to her and the mum is just completely fake and 2 faced.
But.... i suppose this is "normal?"
