Use your adblocker to block it. If you have uBlock origin installed, just right click and click "Block element", then use the slider bar until the element is fully blocked.

I think @mnhq also need to know that this is fucking annoying web behaviour that belongs back in the early noughties rather than expect their site users to solve it themselves though...

My adblocker doesn't block it either! I get they are trying to make revenue but the ads and pop ups will just send people away

It won't block it by default as it doesn't know what it is. Your ad blocker is likely populating from common lists of known ads, but doesn't know about new ones unless you tell it.
