Working out in the middle of the road?

OK not a road but a closed Avenue. Houses on either side in close proximity.

Guy uses the end of the road as his own private gym. Mats out, running up and down road. etc.

Pleasant guy but it's the weights that are annoying the fuck out of me.

Big heavy things on a massive single bar that he drops and they bounce about 3 times.

On repeat for about 45 mins every evening.

I'm not gonna say anything of course but am I just being grumpy or is that a bit unsociable?

Watch it for entertainment value. Totally bonkers

Fizbosshoes · 25/09/2023 19:08

I think I would find it annoying and attention seeking
What is the reason for doing it there?

MrsTerryPratchett · 25/09/2023 19:09

Very poorly calibrated sprinklers?

Take a chair and a bag of crisps out. Criticise his form and suck in your breath a lot. Maybe get your other neighbours to join you.

I really don't know. We have small gardens but they are functional for what he's doing (bar the running)

We have no front gardens so it's literally front door, pavement, road.

I can hear him puffing away as I type :/

We have this - kettle bell dude. Sometimes he’s shirtless. It’s all rather performative.

100% this.

Wouldn't dropping weights in the road damage the road surface?
Has this jerk never heard of gyms?

QuestionableMouse · 25/09/2023 19:36

Isn't it dark outside where you are? I'd probably drop a weight on my foot.
